Ok so I found a potentially suitable job advertised online, It didnt name the company and I called up about it. It had been advertiesd by a recruitment agency.
The recruitment guy asked me to send in my resume/ cv and said he would chat to me. The job was advertised as at least a 1 year contract. He told me the name of the company and I said id think about giving him permission to apply for me.
I have now found the same job advertised on the company website, this is a global multinational and the job is advertised as a full time job, but the job specifics are a little more detailed on the main company website. I can only fill 5 of the 7 job specifics, but i was able to fill them all on the job description that the agency had advertised.
But they are the same job that is obvious.
so heres my question, should i apply directly to the company, will i have a better chance of negotiating a better wage? they are a big multinational will they care about paying an agencies fees?
I think it would be easier to let the agency set up the interviews and maybe give me pointers about the interview process. i just want to be able to negotiate the best wage I can though.
thanks for reading and id love to hear your opinions , agency or direct?

Either way!.
Did the agencies ad say "temp to hire" in it?
Going through the agency will let you try the job first and the agency will pay you-not the company.
You will not have any benefits from the agency except for workers comp.
If you apply with the company directly, you might get a better pay rate than the agency.
You will earn any benefits sooner.
If you go through the agency and the company hires you,you may not get any benefits until you go through the probation period again- it will depend on the company and if they allow the work done through the agency to count or not.
The agency can require the company to pay them a fee to release you from your contract with the employment agency.
From personal experience,I’d go with the direct hire first if it is a job you really want to do.
Going through the agency gets your foot in the door, but it does not guarantee you will get the job.
