If you’ve signed a contract, you are pretty much stuck there. WOW – 4 weeks notice is a lot, most usually require 2 weeks. You should have let your recruitment agency know of this contract and they would have to work something out with the company you will be going to. Remember your basic law courses – a contract is a legally binding agreement. Perhaps you can talk to your current employer to see how you can reduce the number of weeks.
